Strike & Grapple Martial Arts (SGMA) is a non-profit organisation teaching the principles of Self-Defence.
SGMA is primarily focussed on providing students with simple, efficient techniques, to allow them to successfully defend themselves in a variety of real-world situations, against opponents of varying size and skill.
Location, Mats and Syllabus
We moved to the Hall at Western Heights Primary School in 2010. It is a lovely facility, with parking right outside.
We invested in new mats - so there is plenty of room for students to learn in a safe, comfortable environment.
Our syllabus has been revamped. We now have a structured introduction to SGMA, which provides students with a solid foundation in striking and grappling.
What is the Cost?
Your first lesson at SGMA is free, and without obligation. We want you to experience a typical class, without any pressure, and then decide if you would like to continue.
If you do decide to join, there is a joining Fee of $20
Monthly Fees are:
- Juniors (6yo – 17yo) $25/month
- Seniors (18yo +) $40/month
- $10/month for additional family members
What do I Need to Bring?
Initially, casual clothes (t-shirt and trackpants) are all that is required. Eventually a Gi will be required (white or blue).
How do I Register?
If you would like to register, simply come along on a Wednesday night, join in and enjoy the lesson (at no cost), and then fill out the registration form.
